Lowfin chub

Scientific name : Kyphosus vaigiensis
Hawaïan name : Nenue

The lowfin chub is a very common fish in hawaiian waters. Contrary to many others, it doesn't show bright colours but a simple grey which darkens near the dorsal fin and the tail. It's a carnivorous fish which nevertheless feeds on seeweeds if necessary.
